Global Technology Services company divesting Cloud Computing products to specialist service Provider
HM3 designed and delivered a comprehensive transition and transformation programme.
The transition phase entailed a detailed discovery and due-diligence process to ensure all in-scope services, customers, resources and contracts were successfully transitioned to the new entity without impact to the consuming Strategics and fully aligned to the legal and HR/TUPE timelines.
The transformation phase included the launch of multiple cloud products and services, architecture, design, and implementation of the target operating model, design and execution of a robust customer retention strategy and plan, and the successful migration of a £69m annual global customer install base to the target cloud platforms.
HM3’s engagement rendered an annual £12.3m savings to the Strategic and delivered the following key strategic benefits:
Early realisation of costs savings (£5.7m PA) following an extensive rationalisation of the Strategic’s legacy platforms during the transition period
Displacement of Strategic’s legacy platforms with scalable evergreen cloud platforms
Removal of CAPEX investment with flexible PAYG/subscription cost models
Implementation of modern IT service operations that provided the Strategic with a proactive and business aligned service delivery model
